After a spell as contributing editor on uploaded.com, the erstwhile website of Loaded magazine, Jamie decided to raise his brow and studied for a BA in English Literature and Creative Writing at Birkbeck.
For five years he worked at the William Morris Agency, in the film and book departments, reading and providing feedback to novel and screenplay submissions, helping agents to determine what worked and what did not, and helping writers to understand the same.
He then moved on to Parallel Film & Television Productions, where he helped storylining, proofing and editing scripts on the highly successful Stephen Fry drama, Kingdom, as well as preparing formats and scripts for new projects with some renowned scriptwriters.
Scripts and books have always played a major part in Jamie's life. As a child he chalked up a pretty impressive CV as an actor, featuring in two Andrew Davies films, four series of Grange Hill and the usual The Bill / Casualty staples of British TV acting.
